They reportedly used online hate speech and violent content to recruit others, including minors, by posing as fans—“Little Monsters”—to lure young people into their network.
Despite the arrests occurring just hours before the performance, the show proceeded without incident. Organizers were confident in the security measures, which included the deployment of over 5,200 officers. Authorities chose not to inform event organizers of the threat to prevent public panic.
Lady Gaga, unaware of the threat until news reports surfaced, later expressed heartfelt gratitude for the experience, describing the event as a “historical moment.” She posted on Instagram, “Nothing could prepare me for the feeling I had during last night’s show—the absolute pride and joy I felt singing for the people of Brazil.”
The concert was notable not only for its massive turnout but also for offering free access amidst rising global ticket prices. Lady Gaga’s team confirmed that they had coordinated safety measures with local law enforcement and had received no prior warning regarding any threats.
