BOSTON — The New York Knicks pulled off another stunning comeback on May 8, 2025, erasing a 20-point deficit to defeat the Boston Celtics 91–90 in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. This victory gives the Knicks a commanding 2–0 lead in the series as it shifts to Madison Square Garden.
Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 28 points, including a crucial three-pointer with 1:12 remaining that gave New York its first lead of the game. Donte DiVincenzo contributed 21 points, while Josh Hart added 15 points and 12 rebounds.
The Celtics, who also squandered a 20-point lead in Game 1, were led by Jayson Tatum’s 30 points. However, their offense faltered in the fourth quarter, allowing the Knicks to capitalize and secure the win.
